Terms of use
Last updated:
These terms govern your use of Beat.Tools, a web tool for analyzing and prepping tracks for DJs. By using the site or the app, with or without an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Analysis runs 100% in the browser. In offline mode, your audio never leaves your computer.
1. The service
Beat.Tools analyzes audio files on your device (BPM, key, energy, cues, stems) and produces exports for other software, such as Rekordbox XML, M3U/CSV playlists and ID3 tags. With an account, it also stores your crate and analyzed files in the cloud for access on other devices.
The service is in preview: features may change, be limited or be removed, and failures and downtime may happen.
2. Account
You're responsible for your account's login details and for all activity under it. Provide accurate information and keep your login safe. You can delete your account at any time under Settings → Delete account.
3. Your music files and copyright
You are solely responsible for the audio files you open, analyze or upload to Beat.Tools. By using the service, you represent that you have the right to own and use those files — for example because you bought, licensed or produced them, or have the rights holder's permission.
Beat.Tools does not check where files come from, who owns them or how they're licensed, does not take ownership of them, and does not distribute, publish or share them with other users. Files stored in the cloud are tied to your account only and are processed solely to provide the service to you: storing them and returning them for playback and re-analysis.
Beat.Tools is not responsible for files obtained or used without authorization, nor for any infringement of copyright, related rights or personality rights arising from the content you provide. Upon a substantiated infringement notice, the content may be removed and the account involved suspended.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to store or distribute illegal content or content that infringes third-party rights
- Use account storage as a platform for sharing or distributing music
- Try to access other people's accounts or data, or bypass limits and security mechanisms
- Overload or interfere with the service, or reverse-engineer it for abusive purposes
- Automate usage in ways that harm other users or the infrastructure
5. Analysis results and changes to your files
BPM, key, energy, cues, stems, identification and AI suggestions are generated automatically and may contain errors. Check anything important to your set by ear; Beat.Tools does not guarantee the accuracy of these results.
When you write tags (TBPM/TKEY) with folder access, the file on your disk is modified. Back up your library before writing tags or reorganizing folders. Beat.Tools is not responsible for loss or corruption of files, metadata or other software's libraries (such as Rekordbox) after imports and exports.
6. AI features and third-party services
Optional features use third-party services, such as Grok (xAI) for suggestions and MusicBrainz and iTunes for metadata. Those services have their own terms and may become unavailable. Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, Mixed In Key and Ableton are trademarks of their respective owners; Beat.Tools is not affiliated with them.
7. Plans and payments
Use is free during the preview. When paid plans launch, prices, storage limits and billing terms will be shown before you subscribe and apply from that point on.
8. Availability and disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation or fitness for a particular purpose. Cloud storage is not a substitute for your own backup: keep your own copies of your music.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beat.Tools is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss, or lost gigs or opportunities arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights you're entitled to by law that can't be waived.
10. Suspension and termination
Accounts that violate these terms or the law may be suspended or terminated. You can stop using the service and delete your account whenever you like; deletion permanently removes the account, the synced crate and the files stored in the cloud.
11. Privacy
How personal data is handled is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
12. Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated; the date at the top shows the version in force, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
